The Prince & Parade apartment complex, developed by Mirvac, is a standout project in Brunswick, celebrated for its innovative design and construction techniques. A key highlight of this development is the intricate waterproofing solutions expertly implemented by Watertite Waterproofing, which ensured both aesthetic appeal and long-term durability.
This project posed a unique challenge: creating intricate circular pattern designs in white, dark grey, and koala grey using advanced waterproofing systems. These designs required a meticulously engineered solution to balance visual impact with functional performance. Adding to the complexity were the demands of a live construction environment, tight builder schedules and coordination with multiple trades.
To meet these challenges, Watertite Waterproofing employed an advanced hybrid system from Tremco, featuring the following key components:
Tremprime EP 100% Solids Epoxy Primer: Used to enhance adhesion and provide a robust foundation for the subsequent layers.
TREMproof P85 Base Coat: Delivered a seamless, durable membrane with long-term protection.
Vulkem 191 Primer with Aggregate: To eliminate the risk of missed overcoat windows, Vulkem 191 Primer was applied over the TREMproof P85 layer. Aggregate was cast into the primer, creating both a chemical and mechanical bond for the AlphaGuard BIO Topcoat. This approach also provided an integrated non-slip surface, ensuring safe service foot traffic.
AlphaGuard BIO Topcoat System: This system was used to craft the striking circular patterns over the TREMproof P85 layer. Known for its durability and safety features, the AlphaGuard BIO Topcoat ensured long-term performance while delivering a visually stunning finish.
