A new world-class project proving to be a game changer for the Hawthorn Football Club, located in Dingley, recently sought to enhance their facilities by implementing a robust waterproofing solution to their grandstand. National Waterproofing and Industrial Flooring took on the project, focusing on protecting the structure from moisture intrusion and ensuring longevity.
The first phase involved cleaning and preparing the surface to ensure proper adhesion of TREMproof P85, ensuring the surface was free from debris. The National Waterproofing team expertly applied TREMproof P85 using a spray method, allowing for an even and thorough coverage.
Once the TREMproof P85 was fully cured, a seamless topcoat of Vulkem 951NF was applied. This step provided not only additional waterproofing but also enhanced the surface’s aesthetic appeal, providing a trafficable, wear resistant and UV stable protective layer.
The Hawthorn Football Clubs’ AFLW Kennedy Community Centre, now features a high-performance waterproofing system that has significantly reduced the risk of moisture damage, ensuring the facility remains a welcoming space for AFL and AFLW training, matches and club events.
